Our Hand building Intensive with Katrina will grant you 6 hours of blissful, concentrated hand building with a focus on sculptural slab work and accessorizing with handles and decorative slips.
This is an opportunity to learn some new techniques, lean into some wabi sabi slab work, but mostly to just have some fun and relaxation with clay.
Katrina will demonstrate building a vase with elaborate handles, demonstrating a variety of hand building techies so you can larger scale sculptural & functional pieces of your very own. Class size is limited so Katrina can offer hands on assistance throughout the session.
For the duration of our 6 hour session, lounging breaks will be encouraged and communal snacks will be supplied. Students will have access to the studio for a 6 hour duration for guided making.
You are also encouraged to bring your own favourite snacks & beverages to have and to share to keep you satiated during the hand building intensive.
All creations will be clear glazed & fired for you.
